Visiting Mission San Juan Capistrano

A few weeks ago, we visited Mission San Juan Capistrano. The weather was beautiful and we had a lovely time wandering the gardens. The beautiful religious themes throughout were not hard to miss. From the narrow gate to paradise, the gardener so tenderly caring for the grounds, to the thorned bougainvillea that encircled a cross.

Winter in Southern California

A quick trip back to the Golden State. Orange County, California. My old stomping grounds and my daughter’s first time back home by the pacific. Winter in California is my favorite time of the year. The mornings and evenings are cool and breezy while the afternoon sun warms up the skin. Tourists are few and far between and the 25 minute free parking spot downtown is open so I can grab my favorite 7am cup of java and walk the pier.  It’s perfect. Life is swell. God is good.
